Today, February 15, 2020 (2.15) is the International Day of Prayer for Awana.
If you have not already done so, you can download a copy of the prayer guide here to help you focus on things to specifically pray for regarding Awana.
God has used Awana around the world to reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What began as a desire to reach the youth in the Chicago area is now reaching millions around the world!
When a person or organization is being used by God, then there will be obstacles put in the way by one who does not want the Kingdom of God to expand. As Awana initiates the discussion about building resilient disciples, I would expect there to be things put in place to discourage and impede this discussion and subsequent implementation among those in leadership at Awana as well as the parents and leaders sharing the things of God with the children in their care.
May we take today to specifically pray for Awana as God leads it to make resilient disciples.
