As adults, we sometimes get frustrated and tired of children who continually ask “Why?”, but I’ve come to appreciate it.
I have a saying that it is good to get in a “groove”, but if you stay there too long, it can become a “rut”.
Just a quick note to say that we need to be asking “why?”. Sometimes those in ministry with me get frustrated with me because I keep asking why?, why are we doing this?, why should we do this?, etc.
So let me ask you, why do you do the things you do in ministry?
Is it because ….
- … of tradition?
- … that’s what a church is supposed to do?
- … that’s the way it’s always been done?
- … it is reaching the children?
- … the parents want, or expect, it?
- … it is God honoring?
- … it is Biblical?
Why do you do the things you do in ministry? Every now and then ask yourself, why?
