It’s Missionary Monday and today I am spotlighting Jim and Tara Lambeth. I met Jim at Awana HQ a few years back when I was there for Commander College 201. I believe that he suggested that I have a flyer or something to promote my website, as he was looking for one to make available at his fall conference. I’m thankful to Jim for that, because I had not considered it before that time.
I asked Jim some questions and below is his response:
What area do you serve? South Florida
How long have you been an Awana Missionary? 9 years
# of churches under your care: 250
Fun Facts: Favorite food, favorite sport, something interesting people don’t know about you, etc….
Jim – Favorite Food – Lasagna, Enjoys playing Soccer, Putting Puzzles together and going on Cruises when possible.
Tara – Favorite Food – Indian Cuisine, Enjoys playing Volleyball, Knitting, Reading and being involved in the Awana Lifeline ministry.
Why are you an Awana Missionary?
We have been serving as Awana Missionaries since July of 2001. God called us into the Awana ministry in March 2000 and we are so humbled to be able to serve the churches in Florida. It is an honor and a privilege to share the gospel with so many children and families each week. I enjoy building relationships with Pastors and Awana leadership.
Share something God is doing in your ministry
Commander College has been a blessing and has encouraged so many Commanders to focus on the clarity and Urgency of sharing the gospel. We have heard so many testimonies of what God is doing especially with salvation decisions in their local Awana club as a result of Commander College.
We enjoy being a part of the Awana International ministry in India. We have been able to go on two mission trips and look forward to another trip in the near future. There are so many children and families that need to hear the gospel.
How can we specifically pray for you over the next month?
Pray for several churches starting Awana in January and for Jim’s Dads salvation.
