Awana recently launched a new website, showcasing their new branding and how God is using Awana across the globe to reach children, youth and adults for Himself.
Along with this launch are several new initiatives. Awana has stated that the question they ask themselves has changed from “how do we get more clubs?”, to “how can we reach more kids?”. This question has permeated all aspects of Awana. Some things you have seen over the last year or so and you may have embraced without knowing that it was part of this new question of how can Awana reach more kids.
Coming this fall is a new initiative focused on the question of how can we reach more kids. It is called AwanaGO. So the question everyone has now is, what is AwanaGO?
Awana GO is a new, exciting and intentional missions program that provides you with an array of tools and resources to grow your kids in loving and serving others.
Did you know that $10 reaches one child with the gospel and provides caring discipleship throughout their Awana club experience?
Awana is changing from the Adopt-a-Club model to this new initiative called AwanaGO, just as they have changed the question that they are asking.
Awana GO is designed for churches and clubs looking for dynamic, meaningful and kid-friendly ways to “go into all the world and make disciples.” Awana GO will educate, engage and encourage your club, church, and families to “go into all the world and make disciples”. Let’s look at how Awana GO will do that:
Educate – FREE resources!
- Missions and stewardship lessons
- Videos and stories
- Parent and church resources
Engage
- Set aside specific times for global outreach
- Send encouraging notes to children in another country
- Reach kids by providing Awana for other children
Encourage
- Reach outside the walls of your church
- Grow hearts while seeing the world through God’s eyes
- Worship and honor God by loving and serving others
The library of resources will continually grow to provide you with the flexibility you desire to go as deep as you want to go.
Are you wondering why Awana is doing what they are doing? I posted about it well before the launch. You can read about it, and see a video sharing why Awana does what it does by clicking here….
Awana is seeking to reach more kids? How about you? Are you ready to join Awana in saying, Awana GO and reach kids!
Watch for more information through the summer and during the Awana Ministry Conference in your area.
Soon I will be having a conversation with someone behind this initiative where I will learn more and be able to ask questions. What questions do you have that I should ask about this new initiative? Please share them below.
