This time next week I will be on the road again, headed to the Children’s Ministry Conference in Louisville, KY hosted by CMConnect.
This is the inaugural event for CM Connect. CMConnect is an online community for those serving in children’s ministry globally. It is a great place to network with others serving in various roles in children’s ministry. This conference was born out of a desire to network in person as opposed to just meeting online. Michael Chanley, whom I know personally, began CMConnect several years ago and the site now has over 12,500 members. Michael has a genuine desire to serve those serving in children’s ministry.
This conference seeks to answer the one question you have about children’s ministry. That question may be different for each attendee, and as people registered, they were asked what that one question would be for them. Again, all in an effort to meet the needs of those serving “in the trenches” of children’s ministry.
The conference will have many experienced ministry leaders speaking and leading breakout sessions. The list of speakers include Jim Wideman, Beth Guckenberger, Brad Tate, Yancy, Michael Chanley, Bo Harrington, Chad Owens, Wayne Stocks and others.
If you are able to attend the conference, I encourage you to do so. If you have already registered and plan to attend, then I would love to meet up with you. I will be blogging from the conference through out week next week. I’ll be sharing some of the insights gleaned from the various speakers. If you are not able to attend, I hope you’ll learn things to enhance your ministry through those posts.
