I really enjoy the Awana conference season. It gives me, and many others, the opportunity to get together and share with others what God is doing in our ministries. It is energizing to be with a group of people with a similar passion to reach children with the Gospel and to train them to serve Him.
The one ‘negative’ that I have about the conference is that it is only held once a year! Wouldn’t it be great to be able to spend time with others with a similar passion to share what God is doing in our ministries and to encourage one another in words and prayer? That is a main reason I began what is now “CommanderBill.net”, to allow people in Awana to network with others doing the same thing. By doing so, we should be able to have a bigger impact for the Kingdom.
If you are a commander, I encourage you to find another commander in the area and take time with them to encourage one another in the ministry. Find a network of others in children’s ministry to connect with to strengthen each other.
We can’t do it alone, nor should we. Find that support today!
