They are one of the greatest resources for your church and your Awana ministry.
The Awana missionary is NOT the outside salesperson for Awana. They have seen how God is using the Awana ministry and seek to share it with others to help them use Awana effectively.
Your Awana missionary has a heart to reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and they are there to assist you in your local Awana ministry.
While each Awana ministry is unique to the local church and their culture, the Awana missionary is there to answer your questions and help you in your local church context using their knowledge of Awana and their experience of working with several churches in your area of all sizes.
Your local Awana missionary is faith supported. What does that mean?
That means that they rely on gifts from individuals like you for their personal and ministry needs. They are trusting God to provide what they need to minister effectively. Many churches will raise funds to support their local Awana missionary to help share the Gospel via Awana, extending the reach of their local Awana ministry. I encourage you to support your local Awana missionary both financially and in prayer. You can donate securely online at www.awana.org/donate-to-a-missionary/ and then find your local missionary. Not sure which missionary serves your area? You can find out by going to www.awana.org/find-us-missionary/
Your Awana missionary is also available to visit your club, fill the pulpit, provide training, and more. They truly are a valuable resource.
I am thankful for the many Awana missionaries that have helped me through my many years serving in the Awana ministry. They are a resource that I rely on to help me run an effective Awana club. I hope that you will get to know your Awana missionary and partner with them to reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
