May is a time that most are wrapping up their Awana year and it is often a time that people look at recruiting for the next Awana year. The one “selling point” that I always share is that Awana is a great ministry to serve, because you come, you get blessed, and you go home!
What do I mean by that? For most, you come and have children eager to recite God’s Word to you and then you go home. There is little to no “prep time” (except prayer) unless you are organizing the games, or preparing the lesson, or doing admin stuff. Most come, get blessed and go home.
So how about you? What would you tell others about serving in Awana?
