The second day of the conference focused on the point of SERVE.
When you are called to serve children, you are called to impact someone’s life for all of eternity. What you do matters and is essential for the health of the Church. It’s about living out your faith and answering a call to serve.
During the main general session, Beth Guckenberger of Back2Back Ministries, shared with us the need to trust God. We need to hear the still small voice of God speaking to us and she shared many times where she heard, and obeyed, that small voice of God. We need to hear that small voice of God, and as we listen to that voice, He will lead us to serve.
SERVE is the 2nd of 3 themes of CMConnect and it is fitting that it is in the center because that is the central mission of CMConnect Global. They are here to serve.
I have known Michael Chanley, the founder of CMConnect, for several years and I had the opportunity to sit and talk with him during the conference. His heart is one of service. In every conversation I have ever had with him, he always asks me if there is anything he can do to help me, to serve me. That servant heart is the heartbeat of CMConnect Global.
We need to serve each other within the church and we need to serve others whenever possible. People may resist the offer to be served. I know because I have resisted at various times when I should have let God use others to help provide, yet I am willing to serve others and I struggle when they choose not to allow people to serve them.
Whether people accept our offers to serve or not is not important, but our desire to serve our Lord by serving others is key. CMConnect Global is there to serve. How about you? Are you serving others, showing the Love of God to them?
