Officially, there is not a “pre-con” for the conference, but some of the attendees arrived early and enjoyed a meal together and then went to a local indoor go-cart track to race. It was a time of great fellowship and networking. We were able to talk about children’s ministry and build friendships that will last and provide a network of support and resources.
I understand that some people do not see a “benefit” in the networking aspect of conferences, but for me it is very valuable. Because of the networking that I have done, I have developed a network of support that I can go to when I need prayer, counsel, etc. We should not be in ministry alone, we need the support of others.
How is your support network? Have you developed relationships with others to support, encourage and pray for you?
