There are many conferences that one can attend. The CMConference is one of my favorites because it is an intimate atmosphere. A time of true networking opportunities and hearing from not just “big name” speakers from the Kidmin community, but others who are working in the trenches alongside of you.
It seems as if in the U.S. today, bigger is better. The mega-church gets a lot of focus, has several resources at their disposal, and is seen as reaching many for the kingdom. The same could be said of conferences. It seems as if people are drawn to the larger conferences attended by thousands, and the smaller conferences with only a few hundred in attendance are seen as sub-par. The reality, like with churches, is that there are many more small conferences reaching and training thousands of people. While the big name speakers and the big name churches get attention, the smaller conferences, and churches, are having an amazing impact on the Kingdom.
This week will be a great time of fellowship, networking, and, learning in an intimate environment. After all, we all know that relationships, and discipleship, is done in small intimate groups.
